Nope. I just imported the same file as a "Generic RBG." Same error. (-1) But... diff. frame #.
Any ideas, anyone. (BTW: I'm using 10.0.8)
I know this is an INSANELY large file. But... I want it that way. I have to get to an XCU of a few characters on a historical document. (Which happens to be a fax.)
Any help would be appreciated.

just a stab with a long stick into the foggy dark .... :
your drives in use are in 'mint condition'?
this is one of those 'voodoo routines' =no technical background, but some report 'it works!', on an error-1, it could help to run DiskUtility, check&repair drive(s) .......

No. Brand new 4Tb G-tech. Works fine on everything... BUT... this EXTRA large .tiff image.
I'm hoping to figure this out... as I plan on doing more and more HD+ projects (5k.)
But, before I go to be tonight, I shall run disk utility all the same.
And, as always, I thank you for your help, Karsten!
