Hi All,

I want to back my phone up to iCloud but it says that my Apple ID has to be verified first.

I sign in, click on the "Send Verification email" but nothing appears in my email account.

How long does it take for the verification email to arrive and if it doesn't what do I do then?

Cheers

Have you tried checking your junk e-mail or spam folder?

one thing is to check if your e-mail account is correct plus it can take a few mintues for the e-mail to arrive

    Try some of the suggestions here might help;

    http://http://appletoolbox.com/2012/08/fix-unable-to-verify-apple-id-because-act ivation-verification-email-is-not-sent-received/

Or go to http://https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and check all details have been filled as sometimes people have left birthdays out and have not been able to get the verfication e-mail.

sorry for my laziness in not checking my links though i am at work! yes if you try too use the same account it will give you an error saying the address is allready in use.

the only thing i can think off is that the e-mail has just not arrived yet and apple are being slow!

Just so you know ive spoken To around 10 people wtih the same problem as you not reciving the verfcation e-mails, so it seems it will just be matter  of waiting!

you could go to the apple store but i would suggest just wait and it will come through!

Got nothing to do with waiting or anything else.

Email is sent, you have not received cause of one of two.

    1. Your server blocks apple server emails

    2. Your apple id and your email are different.

You are going to tell me that I am incorrect - see reason number 1 or 2.

I had a buddy who told me her email was @yahoo.com and she actually logged in with yahoo.com in to her yahoo account. But when she checked inside email address was @yahoo.co.uk.

I had another buddy who blocked apple and other servers like gmail from inside of the account, didn't block support.apple.com.

I am telling you, that email is left apple servers, it didn't come to you and apple guy unless he is magician will not fix it. If he does fix it it will be one of those two.

Inside of your email account - click on your name and somewhere it will show you your email address - make sure it is spelled same as your apple id.
