I have a QStar GPS, which is a BlueTooth only device,

that I wish to use with my iPod Touch.

The GPS provides position information (latitude/longitude) via BlueTooth.

I want the GPS device to supply high quality position information to drive

various mapping applications on the iPod Touch.  I want to use this in

Europe with maps stored in the iPod Touch to find my way around

various cities (and find my way back to the ship before it sails).

My laptop computer can see the GPS on it's list of available GPS

devices, so I know that the GPS is providing a valid BlueTooth signal.

But my iPod Touch aparantly either can not see it or just

refuses to recognize it.

1.  Does the iPod Touch only show certain BlueTooth devices?

2.  Is there a BlueTooth GPS device that the iPod Touch will

     recognize?

(Please note: this has NOTHING to do with cell phones,

or with making or dialing telephone calls.)

3.  If you have experience doing this, I'd be intereseted to hear

what hardware and apps you are using and how well it works.
