Someone knows if Time Machine backup local mail folders created inside Mail.app automatically?

If not.  Is it possible to do and which actions must be done to do it?

I suppose that Mail stores this folders and the mails inside somewhere in the user folders, I want to know where to be able to restore if necessary and to do separated backups if needed.

Could this In My Mac Mail folders be syncronized whit my iPhone Mail.app also?

Thanks in advance.

How do you restore "In My Mac" mail folders and where are these folders?

Enter Time Machine while Mail is the front application. Step back in time until the mailbox you want appears. Select the mailbox and click "Restore".

I never imagine that it can be done this way.

    Many thanks for your help.

I want to restore my entire Sent Mail folder which I deleted in error. So I followed the directions you gave to BobbyBBB.  However, when I open my mail application (Apple mail via Verizon) and then go to the Time Machine icon and choose "Enter Time Machine' ...  What happens is... FINDER pops up and the many layers of Time Machine can be seen behind Finder, but I can't access them.  FINDER is in the way. Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong?
