Q: So Ardagent.app had a hole in it

Really! As pristene as Apple usually is about their system and the promotion that you don't generally have to worry about hacks and viruses with their OS's you'd think they would clean up a little better than this and leave a clean disk permissions list. So now I have to sort through a long list of criptic disk permissions to see if they fit there "ignore list". That's simply sloppy.....in fact its very, very, sloppy. Get a fix right and clean your entire mess up Apple. Give us a fix that fixes the disk permissions or at least let us know when its coming. I would upgrade to a newer OS but my system is a dual boot and to do so would screw with a whole boatload of stuff and would probably lose some things in the process. So just give us a CLEAN FIX PLEASE.

As long as you get the message at the end "Permissions repair complete," everything that needed to be repaired has been. And if you get the same "errors" after repairing again, then they're not errors.

Stop repairing permissions. It's not  necessary for maintenance. Once is enough unless you have an issue with a process or application installed by the Installer.app, that specifically warrants Permissions repair.

And if you want to comment to Apple - we're all fellow users here:

Any additional updates or corrections to Mac OS X 10.6, though, are highly unlikely at this point.
