Hi all.

Noticed these last few days that the startup chime was absent, although the machine did boot with no apparent problem.

Now, the machine won't startup.

Upon boot, no startup chime.  Fans whir.  The status light comes on.  After a few seconds, the status light flashes a sequence of three flashes.

According to the manual, this means "incompatible RAM installed".

Of course, there's been no recent (like at least 5 years!) change to the RAM.  (Heck!  I don't even remember how much RAM the machine does have!!!)

Any suggestions as to what my first steps should be?

Thanks!
