Right. There's been a lot of discussion HERE about a new version of iTunes. I haven's seen any indication that Apple recognizes a problem, or is working on a new version. Or plans to ever release a new version.

Maybe this will help illustrate the point:

If you want apple to really listen (and I'm sure most frustrated users here do), the best way to do that is to to vote with your wallet.

If you don't they won't have a clue why you are "voting with your wallet"...

"Why Corporations are psychotic"? You're one step away from Ward Churchill territory, and calling Apple Little Eichmanns. This isn't a bully pulpit for your politics or world view.

I DETEST iTunes 11, but my God, it's free. It's not unworkable, it just *****. Perspective.

I have voted with my wallet, and I continue to vote with my wallet. The first and only Apple product I've ever owned is an iPod Nano. It worked great for years. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to use. I'd always heard Apple products were easy to use vs. Windows. I needed a new laptop. I was ready to switch from Windows to an Apple Macbook Pro when this terrible iTunes 11 came out. I had so much trouble using it, and no response from Apple to the feedback I sent, that I bought a Lenovo T430 instead of the Macbook. Now my Android Smartphone is up for renewal. I had planned to move to an iPhone. Now I'm starting to look at what's new in Android. If they don't fix this before I renew, I'll be staying with an Android phone.

You are definitely not alone.  I have found no redeeming features in this release that would offset the screwed up jewel case print capability (screwed up once last year, fixed, then screwed up again in this latest release), search, and jerky song sample play that I use frequently.  From reading the discussion there is much more that's worse than than version 10 that I just don't use.  Fortunately I read the discussions about problems and did not upgrade from 11.0.1.12 to 11.0.2 so at least I can still print jewel case inserts.

Is there some reason you expecting a response when it clearly states. "please note that we cannot respond to the comments you submit."?

Well may be not when it is one person's issue - but I think we all expect a formal reply to a forum into the thousands, Chris CA

Apple don't reply to these forums. If they take any of the feedback on board you'll notice a change in a subsequent release, but don't wait for a "Sorry we removed feature X, we now see that was a mistake and we'll bring it back real soon" type statement. That's not how it works.

I expected no response. Just noting that I've heard nothing directly. I've also seen nothing indirectly that says they have any concern whatsoever that so many of us are unhappy with iTunes 11 and are working to fix it. If someone has seen such a statement, I'd love to see that.

Unfortunately Apple are a law unto themselves. I doubt they read these forums and they certainly do not participate. Also the feedback links I think go largely unread too. It's probably too unpalatable for them to sift through the countless postings they receive.

They will just do what they want and I can't see this changing. There is no way of getting at that them because they are aloof and secretive.

Everything is going to pot at apple. I don't really have any functionality problems with iTunes 11 but I detest losing features. They may of added some things (which I don't even use) but overall more is lost than gained. Coverflow and iTunes DJ being glaring ommissions. And the windows bug whereby the scrollbar goes off screen to the right is a terrible oversight that appeared in 11.0 and is still there in 11.1, 11.2. That's awful (yes I know minimize/maximize sorts it out but it never sticks).

iOS 6 has been a total shambles too - I don't really get what is going on at apple. To be honest everything was pretty rosey with iTunes 10.7 and iOS 5.1.1 but they just had to tinker and mess things up. If it ain't broken then don't fix it.

People may look to reverting back (with is a PITA) but that's not a long term solution. What happens when we get a new phone which will only sync with the latest iTunes. Or certain iTunes store aspects can only be used with latest version. Eventually we will all be forced to be on iTunes 11.

I do love the iPhone and iTunes but they are causing people to lose patience. My wife got the Samsung galaxy recently and I was very impressed. It does make you think about switching but as I have bought so much content on iTunes over the years I feel tied to the apple products unfortunately.

Yup to all of the preceeding.

I've been limiting my iTunes purchases, practically eliminating them, and instead importing music files into iTunes so that I can use them on other devices in the future.

Apple had their eye on the ball for a while there, but the "customer experience" ethos that seemed to animate all of their products and services is gone.

Apple does at least read the forum.  I do know that.  My issue is a blank white screen when trying to get to the itunes store.  Have had this issue on several computers.  uninstall/reinstall/uninstall/reinstall about 3 or 4 times, seems to fix it.  ... ??

Here is what will NOT happen in my household "What happens when we get a new phone which will only sync with the latest iTunes." -- no more iPhones for me, or new iPads.  And the features removed from my MacBook Pro with no warning (iWeb and the simply setup Apache web server from the settings area).

It's not free. If you are buying itune music or whatever, you're paying for itunes. And paying again and again and again.
