Thanks. I read through the post, but I think I have a differnet issue. My library has not disappeared. All my songs are right where they should be. I'm trying to sync my iPhone so that I have a backup of all of my apps. I dont keep any music on my iPhone. For some reason, it just thinks the library has changed names or something. And it doesn't think this computer is authorized to the Store.
I was able to perform a back-up of my phone, but I just can't synchronize. Any ideas?

I suspect you have a automatically rebuilt library file however, or you would be unlikely to get that message. You could try swapping the library files around to see if it helps. If not you can always switch them back again. There is also the user tip at the end about recovering the entire library from the device. This is designed to backup all your apps, data and other content, then get your device syncing to the "new" library without any loss of data.
You can fix the authorization issue by signing in to the store.
