Q: conflict saving photos manually and with photo stream

When photos are auto saved via photo stream and I then (as usual) save all new photos taken, does that mean I now have two copies in iphoto library? If so how do I locate duplicates and delete?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Is this in your iPhoto library on your Mac Pro?  If so there is only one copy in your library.  That's the one that is in an Event.  The version in Photo Stream is being streamed from the iCloud PS server and  doesn't take up any drive space on your Mac Pro. There's no duplication.

Thnx Todd, this is in my iPhoto library on my Mac. As always I manually sinc my iPhone and 'save' all new photos taken since last sinc ( also iTunes music etc). I click 'yes' to importing new photos..., OR are they already in the library thru photo stream? I couldn't tell cause I hadn't organised my photos for some time & it was in a mess.. I figured all the photos now in my library were there thru my sinc, but some (not all) were called photo stream.

I have now organised it all. Wondering if I should turn photo stream back on..., and still wonder how best to save to iPhoto library?

If you automatically import photos from PS and then import them again using iTunes you wiull ahve two copies in your iphoto library - do one or the other - not both
