I am using Apple Mail on my iMac OS 10.7.5 at home--our email comes through shentel.net. Yesterday morning, Google apparently had a major outage and I was unable to access Mail and was getting error messages that my password was incorrect even though it had worked just hours before. I tried going in through the Shentel website and checking my email there and got the same message and had the same problem on my iPhone. My old Thunderbird account is set up using a pop.gmail.com server on port 995 and outgoing is smtp.gmail.com port 465, and I used that same info to set up the Mail account, if that helps any.

Last evening when I tried checking Mail, I didn't get any password messages but the spaces beside the Inbox and Gmail has no numbers in it and has what looks like a sideways "z" showing. Also, all the labels/folders I had set up and saved messages to have disappeared.

I have gone online today and I can get them through my iPhone, Thunderbird on my iMac and Shentel on my browser, so I'm not totally locked out but I would like to be able to access Mail on my iMac and use it and get my folders/labels back if at all possible. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do? Thanks for your help.
