Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You have to replace the hard drive because probably the hard drive is failing. You can install the hard drive yourself, and you can buy a hard drive in OWC > http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/hard-drives/2.5-Notebook/
If your hard disk is failing, you don't have to get a new Mac, because it can be replaced and a hard drive is very cheap

Hard drives do not have fans as such. There are cooling fans inside the MBP and you can get prices at iFixit.com and Powerbookmedic.com.
If the Hard Drive needs to be replaced, the cost will vary depending upon size. I suggest the OWC website to see what is available for your MBP.
In neither case is a new MBP warranted for those reasons.
