How did you buy Aperture and iPhoto?

If you bought the boxed retail versions, you sell the software by giving the boxes with the installation media and licence to the new owner.

But for the software bought from the App Store, the situation is more complicated. You did not buy the software - you do not own it - you bought the right to use it, and that is tight to your AppleID. Since you do not own the software, you cannot sell it.

See this post by Dah•veed: Re: Transfer purchases to another ID

You will need the help of Apple Suppport to be able to pass on the right to use the software, if it is an App Store purchase.

You will have to talk to someone in person. Look at the AppStore Licences:

    For iPhoto:

You are only permitted to sell iPhoto together with with your hardware, and only under certain conditions.

    For Aperture:

You are granted a limited, non-transferable licence.

If you bought from the AppStore, you will have to talk them into changing the association of the AppleID with the software. It is certainly not covered by the licence, and they will not be obliged to do it.

You are welcome. I wish I had better news for you. The long thread I pointed to is a honey-pot - the only useful post in that is dah•veed's; I hope the link took you directly there.

Your suggestion to seek help from Apple Support was bogus?  Because you knew they would not help?  And I would be serving your agenda by asking them for help?

When I wrote you would have to talk to Apple, I did not yet know, how you bought the software - box, Apple Store, or App Store, and if you only want to pass on the software or also the hardware.

All the cases are different. In some cases Apple has been known to help.

    Regards
