Q: When audio chatting, other people can hear my headphone's sound

Retina MBP 15'

Say I'm in an audio chat with someone using headphones with mic and are playing music. They can hear the music quite clear.

What was the problem?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

Which chat client are you using here, which mike (and does it have noise cancellation) and are you playing music from your Mac, or is the music originating from another and external source?  (There's the obvious answer of "don't do that" of course, but I'm guessing there's more to your question than that.)

Primirily two clients, QQ and Messages. All the same: the other side can hear whatever comes out of my earpiece, not only music or movie , but also system sound.

I'm using the mike on my earpiece and I'm sure the earpiece is fine. I've tried two kinds of earpieces from UE and Audio-technica , both with mike and both had the same problem.

If I use the computer's mike, which is when I use a earpiece with no mic. Things are totally normal.

I'm playing music/playing movie from my Mac. No surrounding sound source.

Thanks for your concern....This thing has troubled me for monthes....I'd really like to see it solved finally...

From long experience, iChat / Messages starts up the local microphone.  Check the settings in the tools and see if audio is enabled.

Does a different Mac do the same thing with the same software?  I've also encountered more than a few broken headphone jacks over the years.  Those jacks usually show themselves by not switching over to the headphones, but I'm sure there are some other purmutations of "broken" around.  Run some tests to see if it's the software, the Mac, or the headphones.  (But given you've tried different headphones, it's probably not those.)
