Not sure how to describe what is happening.. On the post card format no image will transfer to the actual card. So If I add two images..Only one will show up in the upper right corner, clicking on the image swtiches them back and forth.. But none will show up on the actual card. The writing becomes compressed and appears as scribbles.. If I send it anyway, a couple seem to arrive ok..
But what I am seeing on the screen in i photo is a mess..
The post card format won't at all.. And i can't just easily work the program , like we see in all the videos explainging how to use it..
I am never sure how it is turning out.. because what is in the iphoto program looks like a mess.I have a trail of images if I try to scroll.
Its hard to describe.. Its just not workable..
Its as if I am not commincating with the program.. The mouse clicks and transfering within the program .It seems as if the program is not understanding or responding correctly.
Hope this helps.. If I could send a screen shot it would make more sense..
I'm able to use Gmail with iPhoto. The problem probably lies with iPhoto somewhow. Maybe a damaged preference file. Therefore, try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Lion and Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE 1: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
Well it sounds crazy.. But I cant find any of those things.. None of them..I even tried spotlight and can not find them.. I seem to have no preference 's for iphoto.. Unless there is another name it might be under.
It seemed to work fine. , I used it one time a week ago using gmail. Then yesterday I took the update.. and proceeded to use the email part of the program.. And found it doesn't work..
Thank you for trying... Something here is not right for sure..
this is what i got when i tried to add two photo's.. You can see what I see in the right box's and what shows up on the program..I can't get anything to respond.. they typing turns into scribbles.. And some of the pictures do not actually show up to be able to send.. it simply doesn't seem to know what I am asking it to do..
Are you looking in the right library? You want the Library in your Home folder.
If you're running Lion or Mt. Lion it will be invisible. Did you run the Terminal application and enter the command? to make it visible?
chflags nohidden ~/Library
Or go to the Desktop, hold down the Option key and use the Go menu to select Library:
The items will be where I said they would be.
HI again.. I typed the command into the terminal and the Library folder showed.. Deleted the two files and then tried the iphoto..I even restarted the computer, just for good measure....
It is the same.. Stil does not work.
I noticed that the back grounds are black on the ones that are not working correctly..
So I am feeling when i took the update something went wrong.. A glitch.. And now I am stuck wiht this mess until apple updates again...OR maybe I am just stuck with it now
It also does not delete when i click on another format.. The old one stays in the window and the other just sits on top of it.. I also get a blue window, where a picture might go, if I click aroudn on the screen.. But the image will not move to the area..
The email part of this program is just a total mess at this point..
