So my Sunday shows didn't auto download so I went to the iTunes Store, clicked on Purchases, tV shows and Not on this Computer. I then downloaded each show one by one. I then sent in an iTunes Support request because this happened a few weeks ago and went on for several days. They 'posted the shows to my account' which I don't understand what or why. Next time I checked for available downloads I got like the last 5 episodes for each show re-downloading. I couldn't cancel. I had to wait for them to all finish downloading. I went to work came back expecting to have to delete all the duplicates. But I can't find them anywhere. No idea what they did.
I sent an irate email because this is getting frustrating if this continues. I had to do the se for my Monday and Tuesday shows as wells. ITunes season passes used to be so worry and issue free. If you report the issue their fix magnifies the issue. So I don't even know what to do about it if all support does is post them to your account and then you end up quadruple downloading shows over and over again.
I sent feedback. I sent back the result in my support request. Nothing. I spend hundreds every season on season passes as I've been thinking about kicking cable. iTunes is better. Commercial free. No worry about DVR conflicts. No dependency on storms and power outages. No worry about TV service interruptions. And maybe eventually no cable bill. But if I can't count on iTunes to deliver the shows correctly each week, I don't know it's worth the money. Not to mention hassle of alerting support to the issue before they even know its an issue, and then you get this crap.
I am a loyal Apple household. But it seems like the quality of the code is dropping at least once a month something like this totally ruins the zen. It may seem lazy to go and download them one at a time, but I have 4-5 shows a day. I have my iMac set to restart every day at 5am and iTunes auto starts up. This forces a check for downloads which means my new shows will be ready the next day to watch on my AppleTV whenever I'm ready. No need to remember to get them downloading before I go to work or when I get home with enough advanced time for them all to download.
They need to get it together!
