Is the audio playing in the background when you are shooting the video or are you adding it as a separate audio track through a video editing program?

I am playing a concert on the TV and they are watching and dancing to it. When I play it on my phone, I can hear the music clear as day and loud. But when I upload it to Facebook it is barely there. I also tried emailing it to myself and watching it. Again, barely even there. However, there are other sounds in the background that are very loud, like a child banging blocks to the beat like a drummer. I cannot figure out what is going on.
So, to simply answer your question, it is in the background, not added seperately. =)

The only thing I can think is that the video file gets compressed when you upload it or email it. Compression can do bad things to audio when over compressed, complex sounds such as music can get very muddled or distorted while simpler sounds like vocals or a simple clicking noise like from blocks being banged together will fair better. Unfortunatly I don't have a better answer for you. Maybe someone else reading this can offer a solution.
