Hello..maybe you will know.
My iphoto library HD crashed but had a copy. That copy wouldn't open but was able to get "show package contents" and pull in masters and other files but could not find the metadata...90,000 photos but now without titles and correct dates (probabley 30,000 in scanned slides so dates I changed are back to day of scan).
Any idea how to find the metadata?
I sent the orginal HD out for data recovery but really need matadata of tiles, dates/times, events...etc..

Restore your backup - the metadata is in the iPhoto database files and the only real way to get it is to restore the intact iPhoto library from your backup from before the crash

Really carzy things went on with my Time Machine and it stopped backing up but I didn't realize it till too late. too long to go into. So this is what I have but it did not bring back the metadata, This is hte backup. I have my main iphot library which was on a WD external HD out for data recovery BUT I'm ot sure they will find the metadata...my 90,000 photos are no good without the titles, corrected dates etc...it took 15 years creating and documenting.
Hope you can help..
