Apr 28, 2013 5:45 AM in response to MissDubesby WZZZ,What model iMac? If it's correct that you are running 10.5.6 or some version of 10.5, that might suggest an iMac G5. If it's not one of the iSight models, you can pretty easly get to the drive yourself. Assuming it didn't fail (you'd probably be getting the flashing folder question mark if it did) take it out and put it an external enclosure and connect it to another Mac to retrieve your data.

But why don't you post back with more information, especially what kind of iMac and what OS it was running. Here I'm just guessing.

Mac OS X Leopard (version 10.5
I think it was originally Tiger and got upgraded.
I cant access the "about this Mac" at the moment because of said problem
