I tried the reset then recalibration a few weeks ago like you suggested bongzki_02 yet the battery life is still the same lasting about seven hours, maybe less. This really confuses me for I merely use it for music and I have photos on it,but I rarely ever look at them and I have the brightness on lowest and the equalizer is off and every other feature is off.I am going to reset it again, then restore then recalibrate my ipod nano and hopefully this will help the battery life this time.

I got 2 hours on average on my first Nano - I exchanged it and this one's not much better. ONly used it for an hour and it's already half used :-( Really really disappointed and the help people aren't much help when you telephone.

My battery life on my brand new ipod nano is dismal, not even 10 hours. Is there a fix for this or should I just return it? I have tried every test suggested and nothing is making it better. I do NOT use bluetooth with device.

I got my new Nano 7 home and charged it for 3 hours till fully charged.
I hit play and left it on to see what battery life would be....5 hours it was epty!!
I took it to a local Apple store they hooked it to a lap top to test it and it showed
That the battery was drawing to much power,I got the new one home did a 3 hour charge and right now at 18 hours it reads half empty.
I think apple has identified and corrected the battery issue..Cheers to apple.

I'm lucky to get 8 hrs out of my 3 month old Ipod Nano. Not to mention half the time it's stuck in a restore loop. This thing is crap.

Why don't you do like NPMSaturn04 did and have them test your Nano? Sounds like a hardware defect to me and that is what your warranty if for.

Trust me I now got 33 hours on a single charge playing music
I think there was a problem with earlier models and Aple has fixed it.
Dont cry about it and go to an Apple store and nget it checked!
