I purchased this imac from Best Buy and my understanding was iphoto was part of the software.  I can't find it in the applications.  How do I activate or find it?

iPhoto '11, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

If it is not in Applications, then Best Buy may not have installed the iLife software that contains iPhoto.

Do you have the install disks for the system since you show 10.6.8?  If so, see if you have a disk foe iLife.  If you do, it is on there.

    It is.

If the iMac was an open box or display model, then BestBuy should not have sold it to you without first Restoring it to the original factory settings.

If you would like to Restore the iMac to it's original OS X including the iLife App's and not take it back to BestBuy, see > OS X: About OS X Recovery

Hi den, randallsmn's info line says 10.6.8, which may be incorrect, but that would need the disk set...but if it is 10.7.5 or 10.8.3 then I agree that recovery is the way to go.
