I'm using Aperture 3.4.4 and without any filters and all stacks open, the Photo view shows 28529 pictures - when I create a Vault from this view, it says that will copy 32507 masters - I never found the 3978 photos that represent the difference - already repaired the Library (thru Option+Command+Aperture double click) - Library is not corrupt and works perfectly.

Then I used Duplicate Annihilator to find dupes, and it says that I have on the same Library 35488 masters - why do I have 3 different counts for masters? Then it identified 4789 dupes, adding the "duplicate" keyword to them. I just opened Aperture, went to photo view, added a filter for keywork "duplicate" and it returned only 4 photos - so, where are all other masters that Duplicate Annihilator identified?

When I select the keyword hud, it shows "duplicate" with 4789 elements, but I cannot "display" them?

Any tips?

Best regards,

Giancarlo

    Hi Giancarlo --

Are you showing all Images rated "Rejected"?  Make sure the Browser filter says "Showing All" (and not "Unrated or better").

Also check the Aperture trash for Images (_including_ rejected Images).

Lastly, be careful with Duplicate Annihilator.  It might be marking as "Duplicate" Images that either are not dupes, or are useful for you to save even if they are.
