I saved my music folder on an external hard drive and transfered it to my new desktop and then foolishly deleted the folder from the external. Opened iTunes and roughly half of my music is gone. What do I do now? Probably$800 in purchases gone

Purchases can be redownloaded, but you have to delete the broken links in the library first. Depending on exactly what you did it may also be possible to undelete the folder/files from the external drive. What format is the drive in? Have you done anything with it since deleting the content?

    Hi,

I actually saved to a network folder, not an external.(I should have) Then deleted the files from the network folder. I'll have to check to see if I can restore that particular folder from a server backup but I don't think it'll still be there.

I'll try deleting the broken links in my library. Just a little frustrated because I pride myself in actually purchasing my music and then I pull a bonehead move and lose most of it.

    Thanks

A selection of free undelete tools, you probably need to run them from a machine locally connected to the network drive in question.
