I was just reading some threads about securing my MBP before bringing it in to be repaired. There are things on it that I personally don't feel a need to share with others, e.g. my books (accounting), emails, etc.. The discussions I read sounded so long and involved, I feel like just taking the chance that my MBP will fall in the hands of honest people once it leaves my sight from the "Genius" bar. I worked in sales at a Computerland (dating myself) and really the last thing the techs (we didn't call the "Genius" es then) cared about was personal stuff while repairing computers.

So my question is, is there a way that I can use a network drive for maybe everything but applications, system stuff, utilities, etc.. That way there will be no personal stuff on my computer.

Thanks

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
