First you need the IP address of the printer, you will need the printer's manual in order to get that information. Then open Print & Scan Preferences, on the left click the + sign which will open Add Printer then select IP (you will see Default, Fax, IP, Windows) then enter the IP address into the Address box and click Add.

I have no problem with connecting my iMac with the Printer. I did enter the IP address and so forth. The only problem is that IT WONT PRINT. I did remove and add the printer again and again, without any good result.
I was very excited to ask my bos to buy an iMac but now everyone is laughing at me saying "your iMac needs windows to print"

If you can see the printer in the System Preferences Print & Scan box then right click it and choose Reset Printing System..., next log out of your user account and log back in. Finallyusing the IP address of the printer re-add the printer and test.
I am assuming the printer is connected directly to your network, if it's connected to another computer then you need to state that.I am also assuming it is connected to the router via ethernet.
If you continue to have trouble then follow the instructions carefully in
If you still cannot add the printer then call AppleCare, you have 90 days of free telephone support.

Yes, My printer is connected directly to the network.
I did things that you suggested. I can see the printer is connected to my iMac. However, when I tried to print, the printing job was successfully sent to the printer. The printer gave a "click" sound as if it was about to start printing. But noting was printed.
This is what happened when I print using my Windows:
- Once I clicked print in the printer dialog:
- the pop up dialog appear asking me to enter user_id and password (which is my account on the printer).
I really need help on this.
