Dec 12, 2012 2:53 PM in response to wicleeby verligne,I'm having the same problem. Winsock reset resolved the CPU usage problem but not the iTunes store problem. When I run autoruns, it shows Bonjour, and a few dozen LAYERED_PROVIDERs with no publisher listed.
Would appreciate any suggestions.

Feb 10, 2013 11:54 AM in response to wicleeby deafsquare,Thanks...this worked for me. I had sent an email to Apple support and the tech's answer didn't provide me with any help. My second email was not responded to Searching through the internet I found this thread. Perhaps the techs who answer emails should be versed in helping with this problem Thanks again!

May 3, 2013 8:41 AM in response to EdmundfromATXby JerichoJones,I am on WinXP SP3. When I try to download files from iTunes it hangs and even the OS cannot be rebooted. I had to hold down the power button.
I tried all the solutions here and elsewhere to no avail. The fix for me was to turn of simultaneous downloads.
Apple: Making iTunes a total piece of crap is not going to force me to buy a Mac so give it up already. And since it is so terrible why would I buy an iPhone to be hassled by this worthless piece of crap called iTunes.
