I want to upmix a stereo stream (audio channel strip) to a surround stream (audio channel strip) and send the six surround channels to separate mono channel strips (L, R, C, LFE, Ls, Rs). From there the signals are filtered in high- and low-frequency channels to the outputs that feed the amps and the speakers.

I tried the gain plug-in to feed selected channels form a surround channel strips to the mono channel strips but that works only for the L and R signal, the surround signals are not passed along.

How can I solve this most elegantly.

Any suggestions welcome

Thanks in advance

Cheers

    Fixed it!

On a mono output the input needs to be set to surround, then the multi-channel gain will work properly, only the selected channel goes to the output. If the input is set to mono, all surround channels are mixed and feed to the output - no more surround....

    Uff...

When is there going to be an update for Logic?

Well, I thought I had it fixed. But no, poor sound!

So I finally dumped Logic and resorted to a small free audio tool. It took my an afternoon to switch but then I was rewarded with superb crisp clear sound! Logic never sounded like this....
