I'm facing some problems with my airport extreme 5th gen. I have a Huawei MT880 (ADSL) modem as bridge connected to the airport in PPPoE mode. I get a connection but the IP (authentication between modem and airport) is frequently lost. Please, let me know how I can solve this problem as I had a linksys WRT54 connected to this modem without any problem. I have a PC (Win XP) connected to the airport through a cable and I have 1 IPAD and 1 notebook (Win XP) connected through wi-fi. tks a lot.

    Hello there trogovaz!

I found this article that I feel may help you out in this situation:

AirPort: Can Connect to Base Station But Not to Internet When Using PPPoE

    The resolution section specifically.

    1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences.
    2. Choose View > Network.
    3. Choose Built-in Ethernet from the Show pop-up menu.
    4. Click the PPPoE tab.
    5. Click the PPPoE Options button.
    6. Deselect the "Connect automatically when needed" option.
    7. Click OK.
    8. Click Apply Now.
