It sounds like you need to get some PDFs and other information to your iPad. You can follow these steps to get the PDF to your iPad:
Syncing and saving PDFs
To add PDFs to your iTunes library on your computer, simply drag and drop the PDF into your iTunes Book library.
To sync a PDF to iBooks on your device:
- Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in the Devices list on the left in iTunes 10.1 or later.
- Click the Books tab in the resulting window.
- Ensure that the Sync Books checkbox is enabled.
- If iTunes is set to only sync selected books, be sure to enable the checkbox next to the PDF you want to sync.
- Click Sync.
You can find the full article at the following link:
Syncing your other information is similar to these steps, and you can find more information about syncing in the following article:
I hope you find this information helpful!

The information above is very helpful for syncing content to your iPad. But if you need a quick fix, just tap on this link to download the user guide to your iPad. You can use the Open In option to save it to iBooks or any other PDF app that you have on the iPad.
Also, the user guide is available as a bookmark in the Safari browser on the iPad.

I keep getting these suggestions to "tap on this link" which would be good IF the link was IN my iPad, but I work on my iMac desktop and need to transfer the user manual (and other items) to the iPad. One workable solution sent is to email what things I can to myself. Another is to put them in Dropbox - working on that tonight. But nothing happens if I tap on the link in my iMac. LOL.

One assumes you have an iPad. Navigate to these forums in Safari and tap on the link as suggested. Or even type the address into the iPad's Safari.....

Odd. I have no problem opening the manual on my MacBook Pro if I tap on the link.
As Tonefox suggested one would assume that you have an iPad and I was providing tow perfectly viable solutions for you to access the user manual on the iPad while you muddle through the perfectly good syncing information that was provided to you by one of esteemed Apple colleagues in the post above.
