Hi everyone,

I am using iPhone 4S. I was connecting it to my laptop only for copy-pasting photos, because I don't want to use iTunes. I never backed it up using iTunes.

Last week I sold my laptop. Today I saw my iPhone contacts deleted involuntarily. The guy who bought my laptop said that he only connected his own iPhone to the laptop for charging, and he didn't recieve any warnings.

I have no backup, I wasn't using iCloud as well. Is there a way to get them back?

Above all, how can iTunes reach my iPhone and delete my contacts remotely without any warnings on my phone beyond my control? What kind of privacy is this?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1
