Will iTunes work with Ubuntu operating system?

    "You are mistaken" would be a more tactful way of suggesting my information was wrong.


    Please provide a download link on Apple's site for a Linux compatible version of iTunes, preferably one that was valid back in June of 2011. No? I thought not.


    If there is now a reliable hack that can get iTunes working on a current Ununtu Linux distro. please post that instead of rubbishing what was a perfectly reasonable answer at the time of posting (and certainly reasonably held). I don't have a working Linux system at present but presumably you are suggesting that iTunes will install under WINE which isn't quite the same thing as "working with the Ubuntu operating system". Have you tried it? Do all aspects of iTunes work perfectly? Can you for example rent movies, share libraries, and sync or restore devices?
