    Welcome to Apple Support Communities

To start in Mac OS X, hold the X key while your computer is starting or hold the Option (Alt) key and choose your OS X partition.

If you want to start by default in OS X, after starting in OS X, open System Preferences > Startup Disk, and select your OS X partition

    Thank you mende1,

I ended up re-starting whilst holding down "cmd R" which then started in OS X allowing me to use Bootcamp to remove the partition, I have just noticed that I used Windows 7 32bit not 64bit (stupid me). All sorted now.

    Thank you for your response.
