I have a large library of photos I'd like to export from iPhoto. I assigned locations using the "Assign a Place" feature in the edit window and I would like to keep that data when I export. I'd also like that export to be of the RAW files in my library since I want to move it over to LIghtroom.

Anyone know how to do this?

You can write the Places data to exported images. This User Tip

    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4921

has details of the options in the Export dialogue, including how to write the Places data.

But you can't do this to an Original. An Original exports just that - an original, the file as imported from your camera. No data is added or removed.

Check out HouDahGeo - It may be able to update your RAW files with the location information so when you export the original you have the location information in the EXIF fields

Not an iPhoto question - post in the Automator forum
