Problems with syncing

I have Iphone 5 and try to sync it with my computer (Windows 7 Max.). I have already installed ITunes and verified my computer in AppStore. But anyway I have problems with syncing applications. For example, I've downloaded Translator and tried to install it to Iphone. I've clicked "Sync" in window "Programs", but it goes only up to the third step from four and fails. In window rights it is shown, that this program is already installed, but when I turn off my Iphone from computer, I check and can see, that programs were not installed.
My computer is also already verified, so that I can connect it with Iphone. In common settings on Iphone I have already turned on restrictions so that I can install applications. Could you tell me what should I do? I hope that someone had the same problem.

    Depending on what version of iTunes you have, the process will be different, but that should give you a good general idea of how to get troubleshooting.

    What error message do you get when it fails? Can you download the app directly to your iPhone?

    I'm not sure you're in the right spot based on the terminology you quote.  You should be in the "Apps" window of the iTunes program, not a "Programs" screen.  You should be clicking "Install" (not Sync).  If you just installed iTunes you'll have iTunes 11.0.2, the screenshot in the article is from iTunes 10.x and it looks quite different now.

    Have you tried a spotlight search on your phone for the app?
