    It's easy, if your wireless network is already created by another AirPort Base Station. AirPort Utility will detect your network's configuration and offer to "extend" it wirelessly. The above KB article is outdated so it includes some references that are no longer applicable.

     

    If your wireless network is not created by an AirPort Base Station you must connect the Express to your non-Apple router with an Ethernet cable to "extend" it.
