Business decisions could be any number of reasons.

    • Apple's market share would increase by Zero if they added an FM antenna.
    • The R&D cost to make an FM receiver/antenna combo which would work as expected in this particular device far outweighs the projected increase in sales.
    • The user experience may not be the best for the end customer and cause more expenditures in support, repairs and warranty claims than the inclusion would justify.

Does that help? Or do we now wish to argue the arguments? Please, explain to me this.... If it was easy to include in the existing iPhone design, cost very little to include it, did not interfere with any other equipment, and the end user experience was flawless...why WOULDN"T they have included it? because they didn't wanna? Because they don't care about the customers? Seriously....just think about it. Would it be nice to have? Sure. Even I would use it on a regular basis. But it's not. Do I need it? No. If having FM radio on a smart phone is a requirement I would look to a different manufacturer.

Why are other manufacturers disabling it on their devices now? Because they don't care either? Because it works great? I know...I know..."But it DOES work great on MY <other smartphone>." Then keep using whatever phone that fulfills your requirements. It's a very simple consumer based decision.

And I said nothing about the frequency range they use being a hinderence. I said interference. Plugging in a new ethernet cable into an existing hub can make a stand-alone, tabletop FM radio's signal go out of wack 10 feet away.

Not trying to be an @55 but I must say that your reply shows exactly the opposite of what you're preaching. You definately did not read Anchi1 post properly. As far as I can tell you seem ****** at the fact that some would actually like to get that feature enabled in iPhones. Which honestly I don't understand. Is this being a fan off Apple what it is all about? You fight so vigorously and defend Apple with so much passion (even though Apple definately don't need your help) that it leaves me speechless.

Defend? No. far from it. I hate repeating myself. This is a SUPPORT forum. Go over to CNet or someplace if you wish to argue about the company and/or their products. The "problem" has been answered over and over and over again. You don't like the answer, so you keep arguing about WHY they HAVE to have a feature in a support forum, which does absolutely nothing. This has nothing to do with defending anyone or thing. A problem was posted, answers, options and workarounds have been given and yet trolls will be trolls.

And since you are unable or unwilling to read the previous posts (including your own), here they are once again. Your otions are:

    1. Buy a phone that has the features you require (Duh)
    2. Buy a small, portable FM radio. Perhaps an extra one for the office.
    3. Griffin Navigator or some other device that does something similar
    4. http://www.apple.com/feedback to let them know of the features you would like included

Beyond that...Please explain what other answer you would expect that would make this go away.

Quite hard to argue with the logic of this.  Apple doesn't have to put a FM Radio into the iPhone, any more than you have to buy one.  If that hurts Apple business-wise, then they'll take the hit and you'll be right. But that still doesn't mean they have to do it.

"I was talking about a FM radio I'm using now, on Android phone."

Since Android is an OS that runs on a phone, and in this case phones from multiple hardware makers, which make/model smartphone do you use that has FM? And if you are using one and it works for you why are you wanting to switch?

Also, how much extra would you be willing to pay for an iPhone that had FM radio?

If you hate repeating yourself then simply stop !?

It bothers you that the topic doesn't want to go away then simply ignore it !?

    Really it's that simple.

Too bad the naysayers need to rage over this, it's quite funny. I'm glad I subscribed to this thread.

It was an indirect homage to the movie M.A.S.H. And I agree.

So...you can't answer my questions, or provide any value, but I should go away? You have been a part of 5 posts, all relating to the same topic, some of them you started yourself. You know the answers, you know the options, you know it's not going to happen. Yet you continue to visit the same topics because you would rather argue. That would be a troll.

Yes, unsubscribing is easy. And since this goof just wants to argue a moot point, I no longer have any interest in this topic.

The LOL is that we all know that you actually don't listen to FM, don't have any smartphone with FM, and don't give a flying **** what Apple does about anything.  That's not why you're here.
