OK, so here is my dilemma: I have a personal iPhone 5 whose phone number I have shared with all my family and close friends, and another iPhone which was provided by my employer and whose phone number is published by my company and listed on my business card.  I love the iMessage feature that allows me to receive iMessages on both phones (as well as my iPad), however, not all of my coworkers and friends have iPhones, so it would be nice to have a similar feature for received SMS messages.  I've spent a good deal of time searching for either this or an SMS forwarding app to no avail.  I'd rather not track down every single contact of mine and tell them to switch numbers, and would like to be able to carry one primary phone and keep the other as a spare/backup, without worrying about checking it for messages on a regular basis.  I can easily forward phone calls via my provider (Verizon) but no way to forward SMS messages from non-iOS users.  Any ideas?

    There is no SMS forwarding.

What you could do is port your personal number to Google Voice (this would require getting a new number for the personal phone from your carrier that you do not give to anyone.

Once the existing number is ported to GV, then install the Google Voice App on both phones and authenticate to your account.

All your SMS and calls sent to that number will be delivered to any phone with the GV app installed.

The downside to this is that GV does not support MMS messages.
