Q: I live in the US but am a Belgian national.  Some of the music I like is available from the Belgian iTunes Store but not the US store.  How can I switch to the Belgian store and will I be able to buy music from that store?

If you have an account linked to the Belgian store, that is a credit card and physical address in Belgium, you can switch by Sertings > Store Or iTunes and Apps Store > AppleID > Verify > enter password > Change Country/Region

Hi Ralph, thank for your response.  I don't have neither a Belgian credit card or address.  Anyway, thanks you, at least now I know.

While this has been an annoyance to some of us who have lived in other countries, Apple has to deal with international copyright laws so the easy way is to require an address and credit card in any country's store that is used.

You would think technology in 2013 would allow a solution to all this, but... nooooo.

Well, iTunes loses money since there are at least 5 tracks (from Spain) I WILL buy ON THE SPOT if available in the USA, but they're not. This is the case despite many other songs from Spanish artists/labels being available in the USA store (example: Indie band Cool Frog)

No, covers and live versions are NOT the same.

    This *****.

I haven't yet checked the UK and Australia sites but I suspect I'll find around 7-10 other tunes that I would buy ON THE SPOT. Models from Australia, for example, 2-3 songs... I can only get a live version of "Out Of Mind Out Of Sight" that isn't up to par with the original...

Copyright issues? Then why Spanish labels can sell some tracks in the USA store? Also, some songs I want are form artists signed to huge multi-national labels...
