In my iPhone Photos library it's east to make one picture appear instantly on my Apple TV - I just tap the rectangle-with-an-arrow-pointing-into-it and select my "Apple TV" instead of "iPhone".  Can I do the same in Aperture?  I can't figure out how.  Thanks!

One leetle difference. Don't think you are running Aperture on your iPhone.

So..., It turns out your computer, running Aperture, connects to your ATV a bit differently. You need to be running iTunes.

Under "File" in iTunes is "Home Sharing". Turn it on. Then go to "File" again and choose "Home Sharing" -> "Choose Photos to Share with Apple TV..."

Depending on the size of your Library it may take some time for iTunes to show your Library contents and images available to share. Choose the ones you want to share, click "Apply" and be prepared to wait a little while longer while iTunes brings up the chosen photos. You should then be able to go to your ATV and select which images you wish to view.

As far as I know this can not be done.

Have you thought about moving the image to your iPhone then sending it to the ATV?

No, I have not given that thought as that is not what I want to do.  But thanks.

You can do this on the 2012 macs, you can stream your screen through Apple TV to your TV, it's part of the system software. That way you can view any of your pics, or anything on your screen, on your TV.

If you don't have a 2012 mac, then you can pay for Air Parrot, which is a simple program for mirroring your mac's screen through Apple TV.
