I have this same problem as well. I have not found a solution. Both my iMac and Sony soundbar claim they support A2DP/AVRCP, but they will not sync up.

Try to reset the sound bar. Press and hold vol/input them press on/off.
What I found is that if the bar has already been paired it won't pair with another device untl reset. I'm going to send in a question to Sony to find out why. The manual states that it supports up to 9 devices.

Thank you for posting these instructions, I just paired my iPhone5 with the Sony Soundbar.

I had the same problem but I FOUND THE SOLUTION (alone)
You must press and hold the Bluetooth button on Sony and you Mac will find it. For pairing, you must click on "Ht-CT260" on BT preferences of Mac.
