You may be mixing up two different things. "Dropped frames" means that your mac has trouble playing all the frames in real time (maybe because your HD is not fast enough, or you need to render effects, etc).
The error -1 occurs when exporting, and usually means there is some corruption around that frame.
You can locate the frame if you choose in the preferences to show "Time Display" as "frames".
When you locate the offending frame, try: replace the problem clip with a fresh copy; delete render files.

Have the same issue, I relize that speeding up the clip and playing in reverse with the cartoon effect is alot to ask but what good is a system if I can't be creative?
The frame keeps changing first its 1888 then its 1743, all I did was deleate the render files, and what does the render files have to do with sharing my video. I;m going back to the real FCP where things I want to do work, yeah I its not all cool looking but everything makes sense. I never had this problem till they ruined FCP.
