Q: HOW DO YOU CHANGE SEQUENCE OF DATA FILES BEFORE BURN

HOW DO YOU CHANGE SEQUENCE OF DATA FILES IN A BURN FILE BEFORE BURNING WHEN THE ARRANGE ICON DOESN'T GIVE THE OPTION NEEDED - IDEALLY CAN YOU DRAG TO RIGHT SEQUENCE FIRST.

    Maybe you can rearrange things if you disable the caps lock key.

    There's no fixed "sequence" to files in a folder, or on a CD. You can choose to view them by alphabetical order, kind, or whatever, when you're viewing them, but there's no way to say "this file should go first, and this one second" other than by fixing one of the sort orders - usually by changing the names of files so that the alphabetical sort forces them into the order you want.

    Hi Matt

     

    Thanks for your confirmation of what I thought was the case - seems a bit bonkers though since it is possible to arrange the order of sequence in a play list of audio files. I have given up and printed the whole thing and sent by snail mail.
