Atento a vuestros comentarios y ayuda.

    gracias

Just for the record I have an iphone 4S 6.1.3 and am definitely having issues with battery life.   Have turned off most everything.  On good days I get 6-8 hours before my battery is drained - provided I don't use it.
Went to my nephews graduation and only sent a couple of messages and took a few pictures.  My battery was gone in less than 4 hours and could not take pictures of the celebration diner :-(

Aigh why did I update!?  I resisted so long, and finally did over the weekend.  I never have my phone drop below even 50%, and suddenly now it dies on me overnight!

Is there any way to go back to the version I had before?  Will a restore from backup do that?

    Thanks

    Bob

Unfortunately no. There is no way to revert back to a previous version of iOS for iPhone 4S or iPhone 5, only A4 devices  (iPhone 4) and also the 3GS

Great!.  My wife and I both have an iPhone 4.  Can you advise how we revert back to IOS 6.1.2.  Thank you.

I not entirely sure if I am allowed to advise you of the process or post links to and websites containing tutorials, but I can say that since you asked me how to do it there's a big chance you cannot perform the downgrade. Google it and go to a link from redmondpie dated in April 2013 it explains why it cannot be done, even for A4 devices unless certain things (not sure if I can say them to I'm playing it safe) are done when 6.1.2 was still available.

    discovered something interesting this morning

    iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.3

Turned off ALL apps, bluetooth, pushing, notifications, alerts, etc this morning just prior to disconnecting from a full charge.

Unplugged phone and drove to work without using phone at all. Upon arrival I checked usage statistics

    Usage: 1hr 17 min

    Standby: 1hr 22 min

    Battery: 93%

So something was running in the background even though I'm completely unaware of what it is. Is there a way to determine what is/was running?

With all the concerns and tips to fix, IS APPLE GOING TO FIX THIS CRAP? It's time for me to recycle and buy new products, but if this is not fixed I'm not purchasing Apple anything.

    Hi bowbieloll

    1. Do you have iCloud syncing between multiple devices i.e. to OSX and iPad etc...?  No.
    2. Do you use the Notes app, especially with iCloud sync?  I use notes but not with iCloud sync.
    3. Do you use Safari's reading list function? No.

For the record I'm into day 7 sine the factory restore.  My iPhone 5 came off overnight charge at 07:00 this morning.  After just over 9 hours I currently have 63% battery remaining (4% per hour):

    • Blue tooth enabled
    • Sending and receiving Outlook Exchange and Hotmail emails
    • 24 minute outbound phone call
    • Connected to office WiFi

    Current usage data:

    Usage: 7 hours, 49 minutes

    Standby 1 Day, 1 hour

You cannot. go back The process being described requires saving files (SHSH blobs) prior to updating.  Once you update you have what you have. However there are solutions available. Go back to the first pages of this thread for some info that has helped a lot of folks through battery issues after upgrading to the various verisons of iOS. Its not just 6.1.2 or 6.1.3 or 6.1.4.

While it may not fix 'battery life' it does fix things that CALCULATE battery life for iOS.

My 4s is showing a nasty habit of going at 100-75% in a reasonable period of time... even extended (like it would last for 2 days).  But once under 40%, it starts dropping precipiticely.   The last 2 times I've let it get below 45%, I've seen it either:

    1) go to sleep at 45%, then wakeup minutes later at 10%, and then go immediately to 1% and power down automatically.   I then tried to restart, and it showed battery needing charging.  I plugged in the charger, and as soon as it restarted, I did 3 soft resets.   When it restarted after the 3rd, it was at 46% power, not 3 minutes after plugging in the charger.

    2) yesterday, I left in the morning at 92% (my wife commandeered my charger saying her 2% was more important).  at 3pm, it was at 25%.  Wife facetimes me.  At the end of the 2 min call, it was at 1%, and immediately powered down.   I tried viewing the screen, and got the need charging signal.  I then tried power-on and got the apple, so I did 3 soft resets.   Lo and behold, it came up at 15%, and ran for 1.5 hours just fine, with me surfing on wifi.

I'm stopping at the apple genius bar today to discuss this.  My guess is the PMU logic is flawed, and well, my 1.5 year old battery is likely starting to show wear as well.

But, to your point, phone resets do improve the phones energy consumption or prediction of power needs/capacity-calculation.

cuando tengas cargada bateria 100% haz le 4 veces reset con boton home, y encedido apagado, si te baja el % deja que vuelva cargar a maximo.

My Iphone 4s battery is draining really fast after updating for 6.1.3.

this picture was taken when all application (part from the battery life pro) were closed.

anyone knows why the free space is so relativly small?

and what are those processes running in the background?

tried all the good advices about turning things off and restarting...

going to see how we pass the night..

it used to do so well....
