i have an old Leopard  OS machine (no longer fully supported by apple i know I think it can run snow leopard but not lion) and itunes 10.6..1 when i downloaded a couple new freebie songs (song of the week and an earlier pick from Starbucks) it refused to downconvert the bitrate to 128K when syncing to my previous gen (the square one) ipod nano. "the file could not be copied because it could not be converted.". my library absolutely will not fit on mmy 16GB ipod at the full bit rate. (and you have to choose all or nothing) it was only 2 of the three newest songs i have this is so weird! did Apple change the fomat of new itunes files? if yr ipod software and itunes version are compatible tjhey should keep working forever, mh boyfriend had a really ancient machine!!! do i have to upgrade my entire OS or some reason????? it is neither the newest ipod nor the very newest itunes i think, but Leopard doesnt get upgrade notifications anymore. and the problem is with the sync not the store.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8), 6th gen ( i think) 16gb ipod nano
