I tried to install MAMP  ( version 2.1.1  and 2.1.2 ) on My Macbook Pro retina ( mountain Lion OSX 10.8.2 baught 5 month ago) in order to create  a local server for  properly web sites managment in php.

I respect the following procedure:

- correct installement ( Apache server and MySQL server) available in MAMP window and when I run url /MAMP the standard MAP page (Welcome) appears

- I created folders  1 folder per site including my PHP files (as mentioned in the procedure) under Application/MAMP/htdocs

- I stick this above directory (Document root) In Apache windows and URL for starting  MAMP homepage

- I keep the standard parameters (by default)

port appache 8888

port sql 8889

PHP version  5.4.10

PHP extension Xcache

The result is

Not Found

The requested URL /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/Sites was not found on this server.

- I tried different changes and combinations (name of folders) but when opening http://localhost:8888  the result remains the same (server not found)

it seems that the local server is not available or not activated whatever parameters used.

Is Mountain Lion 10.8.2 compatible with MAMP or do I forget something in term of MAMP settings or MAC setting ?

is there someone who intall MAMP with Mountain lion 10.8.2 recently whitout problem ?

Thank you for your help

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
