Thanks, but if you are not using Compressor, can you tell me what the bitrate should be?

    That document is about encoding and authoring HD DVDs.

     

    Don't try to make one of these unless you are purposely making this for an HD DVD player and you don't intend it to be distributed to others. HD DVD is an obsolete format that lost out to Blu Ray years ago as the high def industry format.

     

    DVD SP should only be used for making standard def DVDs. The DVD standard for DVDs is MPEG2. If you don't want to use Compressor, and your video is under 90 minutes, then set the bit rate in DVDSP preferences between 6.5 and 7.0 Mbps. If it's longer, post back with more details.
