is this anything else I need to do to remove windows partition ?

    To remove the Windows partition, just open Boot Camp Assistant (in /Applications/Utilities) and follow the steps to remove the partition. After removing it, the space that was taken by Windows will be included to the OS X volume, so you don't have to do anything more apart from removing the Windows volume in Boot Camp Assistant
