i have a flashfrive from my old computer with songs, i want to put the songs into itunes but it wont add them into itunes

Q: how do i put music into itunes?
If they are in a compatible format then you should be able to add them to your computer's iTunes via File > Add To Library - is that how you are trying to add them ?
