Just the Edited photos?
Export the shots from iPhoto: File -> Export, KindL Jpeg... (This User Tip
has details of the options in the Export dialogue.)
Complete the export to a folder on the desktop.
Drag that folder to your Dropbox folder. Allow it time to upload the lot. Then send a link to the recipient. They can download them from Dropbox.
2 gigs of storage on Dropbox is free, and 1500 shots shouldn't fill that.
Thanks for the response. However I would like to transfer the entire iPhoto file, the original pictures and the edited shot.
Also, I already am a dropbox user. I just checked a folder on dropbox that contained some pictures I took last fall and transferred through dropbox. What I had in dropbox I moved to iPhoto on my wife's computer (she is neither a iPhoto or dropbox user, so I partioned her computer to claim a section for myself) and did this check there. What I found indropbox were unedited copies even though I had edited them before downloading to dropbox. So I am confused and that is why my original question-I thought I was using the wrong method to transfer.
Any further thoughts?
You mean the whole iPhoto Library? There's no good way to do that online. Burn it to disk using the Share -> Burn command. This will make a mini-iPhoto Library on the disk. Mail to the other person. When s/he puts in their machine it will turn up in the iPhoto Window.
