Problem: When I first start up and then launch Safari (version 6.0.4 now) it does not remember the window size I had when I quit.

Fix (?):

1 - Looked for a Window menu selection to "remember window size", no longer there.

2 - Resized the normal way, hoping  it will be remembered then next launch. It is not.

3 - Looked in Safari Preferences for a choice there, nothing is available.

4 - Have the Develop Menu on, nothing in there.

5 - Tried looking using the Opt key pressed when selecting menus in Menu Bar. No luck either.

Prior versions of Safari would remember the resized window.

The way that works for me is to: (1) create a new window (command N). (2) Resize. (3) Close window.

This has helped others for the same issue.

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
