Q: Macbook & Apple tv

I have an older macbook pro, but just updated my operating system to the latest. How can I connect to the apple tv now? I go to display and tell it to mirror etc, and nothing happens. Please help

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

if it's older then the supported list you can't

in which case you shoudl take a look at the program called airparrot which may work for you
